Mayors are the superheroes of communities and today I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing my mayor. Lynn Dollin is the newly elected mayor of Innisfil, ON and often referred to as the Hazel McCallion of Innisfil because she has served Innisfil for over 23 years, first as a Councillor and for the past four years as deputy mayor. She is smart, witty and well loved by many in her community. Lynn raised her family here in Innisfil and she is an extremely passionate, engaged and caring mayor. Lynn has a heart towards people and her community and truly enjoys actively serving. Whether it’s taking charge during an emergency, promoting and participating in local fundraising events or representing Innisfil’s best interest provincially through the (AMO) the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. As the Past President of the AMO which represents almost all of Ontario’s 444 municipal governments and as a former member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Mayor Dollin knows firsthand the commitment and passion it takes to be a Mayor.
